Plans to use canal water to provide heat to business and homes in Liverpool
Plans have been submitted for the development of an energy center in Liverpool, which aims to provide heat and hot water to residents and businesses in the area, from renewable technologies.
It includes plans for two 3MW water source heat pumps, which would work on an open-loop system to use water abstracted from the Leeds/Liverpool canal before pumping it back into the waterway.
