In 2022, we were awarded the East of England Renewable Heat Installer and contractor of the year award.
In 2021, we entered the National Energy Efficiency Awards as well as the regionals. As well as winning a regional award for Renewable Het Installer of the Year in the East of England, we were pleased to receive a special commendation for National Renewable Heat Project of the year. As we only operate on a regional level, we are extremely proud of this recognition. We also achieved success in the Small-Scale project of the year award for the East of England.
We were awarded the Pioneer Award at the British Renewable Energy Awards, organised by the Renewable Energy Association (REA). The Pioneer Award is presented to a company or organisation in a sector not previously associated with renewables, that has now become involved and created a pathway that others can follow.
They have been clever in how they have pivoted their expertise to the energy transition. I liked the open loop aspect of the ground source heat pump at H.D. Services, especially the way in which the discharge water can be used for grey water and irrigation. It also adds value in areas that are more difficult to deal with. One of the biggest blocks or barriers to ground source heat pumps is the cost of drilling holes and improving the performance of those holes, and they are addressing both of those issues, which is really needed. In terms of pioneering, they have hit the meaning of the word.
the BREAwards 2020 Judges
In 2020, before COVID-19 came to our shores, we were doing quite well at the regional Energy Efficiency Awards, being Commended in the South East Small Project of the year; Commended in the East Midlands Renewable Heat Installer & Contractor and Highly Commended in the East Midlands Small Project of the Year.
In 2019, we achieved High Commendations in both the Greater London and East Of England regions in the category of Renewable Heat Installer and Contractor.
In 2018 we came Highly Commended and Commended in the Greater London and East of England regions in the categories of RHI Installer & Contractors and Small Scale Project.
2017 saw us enter the Energy Efficiency and healthy Homes Awards where we received High Commendations and Commendations in the South East and East of England Regions in the categories of Small Scale Project of the Year and RHI Installer of the Year.
In 2016, we entered the Energy Efficiency & Retrofit Regional Awards. We achieved success and bagged a Win in the East of England, 2nd place in the South East and 3rd place in Greater London in the category of RHI Installer.
In 2015 we entered the regional Green Deal and Eco Awards. Again, we were unsure how we would fare. It transpires we need not have worried as we achieved a Win and two 2nd places in three regions: Greater London, South East and East of England in the category of RHI & Energy Efficiency.
In 2014, we entered our first award – the Energy Efficiency & Renewables Awards. We did not expect to get anywhere as it was a national award and we only operate in the South East of England. It came as a welcome surprise that we came Highly Commended.
