How to self-build successfully
Practical help and guidance from an established panel of experts brought to you by Self-Build Specialists AC Architects
If any of these sound familiar, then read on:
“Considering a self-build but don’t know where to start?”
“You have the ideas but would like advice on how to find land or finance your build?”
What construction methods are best and why?”
Why is ventilation so important?”
Coming this Autumn…
For years ACA has been committed to helping self-builders. Their popular eBook, Learning Centre and Self Build blog have become the starting point for thousands of successful Self Build projects in the UK.
ACA are now delighted to introduce a new seminar, ‘How to self-build successfully’, taking place in Autumn at the BuildIt theatre. This one-day course gives you practical, not theoretical, advice and guidance from a panel of established experts in their fields of expertise, all ready to impart their knowledge and experience to you. From finding land and funding your build to making important decisions about the build itself. We promise to empower you!
The seminars will be hosted by Allan Corfield Architects alongside top industry experts within Self Building. Click here to view the full line up.
The day-long seminar (including refreshments and lunch) will include the following topics –
• Finding and Assessing Land
• Funding and protecting your project
• Your project team and the design process
• Project Management and cost control
• Future Homes Standards and Construction Systems
• Renewable Heating Design
• MVHR design
ACA hopes to help as many potential self-builders as they can; however, the seminars have limited availability. Therefore, they will provide confirmation of your place by email and will endeavour to contact all applicants within 24 hours.
