NSBRC virtual workshops for self-builders, renovators and home improvers
The NSBRC has adapted its practices and offerings over the last few weeks in response to the ‘new normal’ we find ourselves in. They are preparing to open their doors to the public again on Wednesday 17th June and have put in place virtual workshops to access from the comfort of your own home.
The virtual courses are delivered by experts on Zoom over three 2 hour modules: Project Management, Renovation Projects and Heating your Home.
Project Management is designed for anyone considering a self-build, home improvement, conversion or renovation project. It covers everything including budgeting, insurance, Health and Safety and VAT reclaim.
Renovation Projects is delivered by NSBRC staff member David Hilton – an authority in sustainable building and energy efficiency with extensive knowledge of building fabrics and heating systems. The workshop includes a ‘tour’ of the NSBRC’s Renovation House which turns theory into reality.
Heating your Home is ideal for self-builders and renovators. It explores the latest options in heat and energy sources for both conventional and renewable systems. The workshop includes a ‘tour’ of the NSBRC’s Renovation House Plant Room.
