Our dedication to clean water for all.
This year we have chosen to support WaterAid in their mission to help provide access to clean water for those who need it most.
In the UK we’re so lucky to have clean water in abundance to help us live healthy, happy lives – for swimming as well as drinking, cooking, washing and growing food. But for 1 in 10 people around the world that just isn’t the case.
Right now, millions of people living in some of the lowest-income countries in the world don’t have clean water to drink, decent toilets to use or good hygiene to protect themselves. Without these basics, overcoming poverty is just a dream.
HD Services have been providing private water supplies since 1988 and wish to support the provision of fresh, clean water to those who need it most. We don’t have the resources to send our experts to those places where they could make the most difference, so we choose to fund raise for WaterAid.
771 million people in the world – one in ten – do not have clean water close to home.
By supporting WaterAid dig a well or install a tap in a community, we are helping change lives for the better. Clean water helps people dream again. We want to be a part of making sure there’s a chance for children to stay in school and get an education, for families to make a decent living, and for the whole community to lift themselves out of poverty. We want to be involved in making healthier, happier lives.
2 of our dedicated staff members have signed up to undertake the Swim Marathon from August and cover 13 or 26 miles over 12 weeks.
