Last chance! Heat and Energy ECO workshop at the NSBRC – Sat 13th August.
Lift the lid on eco issues with the NSBRC!
Workshop runs from 10am – 4:00pm (Centre doors open from 9am – 5:30pm)
This week two major new stories have shown that there has never been a more relevant time to focus on our individual energy consumption.
Average energy bills in the UK increased by £700pa from April, and a further – quite staggering – increase of over a thousand pounds is due in October, following the next increase in the energy price cap:

In addition to concerns over spiralling costs and the volatility of supply of energy we are also faced with the very real effects of climate change. This weekend’s high temperatures are becoming more common with the 10 hottest years since 1884 all happening since 2002. None of the coldest years has been recorded this century.

Our next Eco Workshop on Heat and Energy will explore what can be done to protect both ourselves and our environment, by focusing on our homes. Join us for one of our most popular events and get the answers that the salespeople might not tell you. We’ll cover everything from heat pumps and solar panels to ventilation and building fabric; what’s new, what works and what are the practical issues you need to consider.
We’ll set the scene with a presentation from David Hilton, our impartial and experienced expert and throughout the workshop we’ll hear from genuine experts on a range of technologies and solutions including:
– Mechanical Ventilation & Heat Recovery
– Solar PV and Battery Storage
– Solar Shading (and how to avoid over-heating)
Plus discover a range of heating technologies including:
Air Source Heat Pumps
Underfloor-heating
Infrared heating
Skirting board heating
Eco Radiators
