Renewable Heat is a new frontier for the UK.

The current pandemic has highlighted the need for the UK to be able to increase domestic fruit and vegetable production. Combined with the UK’s net-zero target and the Governments clean heat strategy, it is clear that there is a case for more environmental friendly production sites.

Low Carbon Farming have partnered with Greencoat Capital in a £120 million glass house project in East Anglia, which will utilise heat from nearby water recycling centres. The prediction is that the projects will significantly increase the production of low carbon British produce.

Finding alternative sustainable uses for land close to water recycling centres which also make use of excess energy makes sense for UK businesses.
