The importance of a correctly sized heat pump.
Installeronline.co.uk, the digital version of Installer Magazine, posted an article on the 5th April 2020 outlining the importance of sizing a heat pump correctly and how to do this. The article cites the MCS as the recognised standard for UK products and their installation, which includes sizing. The MCS have a free sizing tool that complies with these standards. HD Services has been MCS accredited since 2010 and utilise the free MCS sizing tool to confirm accuracy of heat pump selection and ensure that our systems are RHI eligible. When working on retrofit projects we always advise that any insulation upgrades raised in a current EPC are completed to ensure that the heat pump works at its most efficient.
